A new year , a new garden for this Hufflepuff!
Well as you all know the weather here in LA has been amazing. We are expecting some rain this week ..hope it is a good one. I have taken steps to make this garden the best one ever. I have hired Hollis Jordan . Hollis is a home garden consultant , what I call a "Garden Whisperer" . She is without a doubt a genius when it comes to where , when , how and what to plant. She doesn't do the dirty work ( turning soil , planting ,weeding etc) ..actually as far as I am concerned that is the fun stuff.
She had me make note of where and when the sun shines the longest. Do I want raised beds ? Direct soil ? Etc. With my property she decided raised beds . Great call.
We spent two hours going to what we like to eat..how much do I want to plant ? How much time do we want to spend ? Seeds or seedlings ? We decided on our choices..I took my shopping list and she took her research list . We meet again next week. I think this is a super smart thing to do.
